Permaculture Education: Care and Appreciation of Soil

From Jiwa Damai, affiliate of the NewEarth University, in alignment with its School of Socio-Economics & Ecology

This brief video resource shared by NewEarth University faculty senior advisor, Dr. Margret Rueffler, is part of a series of on-site Permaculture Education curriculum at the Jiwa Damai organic permaculture gardens in Bali. Dr. Rueffler is the founding director of the delightful center nestled in the beauty of magical Indonesia.

Jiwa Damai’s Approach

At Jiwa Damai all approach working with the earth and soil from a multidimensional perspective. To be able to truly honor and appreciate the earth, cultivating a caring and loving attitude to oneself and others is a prerequisite.

The inner attitude of honoring and respecting that which gives us our physical life, is complimented with the in-depth knowledge of how to restore and heal the abuse the soil suffers. At Jiwa Damai we ground the theoretical design concepts of Permaculture – its principles of earth-care, people-care and sharing with hands-on experience throughout our extensive organic gardens.

Our curriculum is varied with introductory courses including morning yoga classes and special evening heart meditations. For more information you are invited to visit: www.jiwadamai.net
