Clarity through Nature

We are nearing the end of spring, the weather is getting warmer. Events and chances to be social are coming left and right. Obligations and schedules start to fill. All the while nature entices us to spend time with her. The one thing that might be a challenge to keep is focus.  This quick post will give you two essential oil blends to use to regain your focus as well as a quick meditation to get your drive and motivation on.

First and foremost essential oils can be used in a myriad of ways. The easiest way is to blend the oils in some sort of container(using empty old essential oils bottles are easiest, another way is any other amber or glass container), then to put 3-4 drops in a carrier oil and put on your body. The oil is called a carrier because it carries and spreads the oil diffusing it.  Carrier oils are best when organic or locally made and can be anything from good old olive oil to expensive Grape Seed or Coconut oil and anything in between. You could also put the drops on a cotton ball and occasionally sniff it or keep it next to your pocket. My preferred method is to use a diffuser and surround your room with the lovely smell.

Now that the how is explained, here are my two mixtures for focus. Some essential oils can be expensive, chamomile, for example typically goes for $25 for half the size of a regular bottle and up. All of the oils I’ll be sharing with you can be purchased for $30 a bottle or under with a high quality level of extraction.

Focus Blend 1

3 drops cedar wood EO

2 drops lemon EO

2 drops bergamot EO

Cedar wood is grounding and calming which are two important qualities to have in order to be focused. Bergamot releases tension and allows for us to flow with our lives. Lemon is energizing allowing us to continue after imagining into creating the idea. The best place to put this blend on your body would be the back of the neck to stimulate your remembrance of thriving.

Focus Blend 2

2 drops thyme EO

1 drop nutmeg EO

Thyme stimulates and invigorates removing any grogginess to your path of completion. Thyme also brings focus to any spiritual quests and practices.  Nutmeg rejuvenates and gives you the oomph to continue to complete your mission. Nutmeg also spiritually brings clarity to your life.  My suggested placement for this oil is to put it on your solar plexus which is 2-3 inches above your naval. This will bring stimulation, focus, and clarity to your power.

My invitation to deepen your experience through meditation is….

Focus on your breathing. Take a few moments to remember what each essential oil means and brings with their smell and essence. Hold each bottle in your hands for a few moments before opening them. Call in their gifts and thank them for bestowing them upon you. Then place the drops on what you choose using your preferred method. Continue until complete. While applying take three deep belly breaths. Notice any changes in your body. Increase in cold or hotness, increase in tension or relaxation, any thoughts that come up, any clearness of mind. Any change in posture, notice all of this.  Finally state out loud or in writing or mentally to yourself your new decree related to focus for the day.

I’ll be joining you with this lovely burst of smell, clarity, and focus in life as I run mine through the diffuser. Transform your day!
